the UP AME MATSURI experience

i went to my 3rd anime festival last saturday at UP Bahay ng Alumni and it was such a blast! well, at first i thought i won't be able to go because my friends didn't want to enter when they found out that there is an entrance fee. good thing my office mate was there already so i called her up and asked if i can join her! went inside the place and was right away awestucked by the number of cosplayers! i saw a gundam mecha, sailormoon, naruto, and the cosplayer i've been wanting to see in person: Abared!!! abared was in dino guts mode so that was cool to see spikes coming out of his spandex.

i was all smiles while in the event because i felt at home! a lot of anime fans strolling around and just having fun, it was really nice.

i was late for the individual cosplay event so i was only able to see the group event. it was alot of fun to watch the different groups doing there little skits, or dancing to the theme song, or just struting their hard worked costume on stage.

surprisingly, my friend hanna was there too. missed her cause it's been forever since i last saw her. i was able to have my pictures taken with various anime characters and im just awaiting for the different owners to send me the pics so i can post them here or in friendster.

gawd... how i wish started cosplaying way back high school. i know it'll never be too late, but i'm hoping i can be on stage soon as well!

gambatte

finally, i'm now fully adjusted to the night shift! my goodness, i didn't expect it but i'm having no problems anymore with my shift. i'm not falling asleep during my shift so i think this is a good sign. was able to figure out the secret to staying awake, lots of sleep and coffee! wahahahaha... works good. well, it's platonic. nothing exciting ever happens anymore...

typhoon Reming just came about a few days ago and it totally rampaged through the bicol region. i'm praying nothing happened to my family there cause until now they haven't got any phone signal or electricity.

my collection btw has increased! i was finally able to buy a magiphone! coud you believe it? i used kuya's credit card to bid in ebay and after 3 weeks of waiting it finally came in good condition! i was also able to buy two morphers from abarangers, the dino commander and the dino minder. also bought a gourai changer from hurricanger a few weeks back. hmm... i think i have  quite a few already! im still contemplating if im going to buy a megazord from power rangers: SPD but i guess i rather wait next year to buy a titan megazord from power rangers: mystic force.

i need to have a break! my life feels pretty dull. aside from watching dvds, i just sleep or just watch more videos online! hahaha... oh well, i'm crossing my fingers for the hong kong trip that kuya said we won from one of our suppliers. i miss traveling. i cant remember the last time i went out-of-town.

i'm also self studying how to read and write japanese. well, i think i'm doing just fine. i'm taking it one character at a time. oh well... GAMBATTE!!! :D

WTF!?

i was going home this morning so i took a bus cause all of the jeep going the shaw blvd route was full. normally the buses in junction would have lesser people but this bus i got on was jam packed with people for reasons i don't know why. so there i was just waiting for someone to go down so i can sit. when we approached Ever, two guys went down so i was able to sit beside a normal looking late-20's-ish man to my left and a college girl sat on my right.

i was just minding my own business when i felt the hand of the man near the pocket of my pants so i became warry and thought to myself "uh-oh he seems like trouble... better watch out!" he then shifted positions to get a better siting position i presume but his hand remained sandwhiched between us. i then felt his pinky inching and trying to feel the side of my leg. OMG! he's a pervert! i became more uncomfortable o i was trying to brush off his hand but he just keeps on putting it back. when we reached ortigas bridge, w\he was now trying to move to my crotch. i couldn't stand it anymore so i offered my seat to the lady standing beside our row. hope she didn't get molested by that bastard!

that was just scary. i never imagined it happening to me. i don't know what the hell he's thinking. oh man, i hope the next time he does that again, he'll get the crap beaten out of him!

just some random rantings

how long has it been since i last updated this blog? wahehehe... and to think that i can access it at the office, im still not able to update it. well, i think it's been 3 weeks now since i last posted something here.

i finally got the package from ebay, and talk about delayed services! the parcel took almost 3 weeks to get into my hands. i think it's the slow postal service here in our country's fault. anyway, the lady in the releasing booth in the post office was really horrible. she didn't care for the peson's package. she handled it with out any care at all. if i didn't tell her that it's a collector's item, i think she wouldn't mind crushing the box just to get her job done. that old witch... now i'm starting to believe that mediocrecy is very rampant in our society.

the package i got was a magiphone by the way from the sentai show, Mahou Sentai Magiranger and it's the transformation device that i've always wanted. it's fun to watch my dvd's again and join in whenever the actors use it. Maagi Magi Magiro! childish i know, but who cares? hehehehe....

me and my friend rick was finally able to talk about the plans for out business that we've wanted. just need to finalize things and hopefully we'll be able to release our first designs by the early quarter of next year. i hope this business venture will work out so i can leave the call center scene as soon as possible.

speaking of call center, guess what, i'm back at the night shift. damn it. now i can't sleep right again. but miracuously i haven't fallen asleep on the job yet. hehehe... even if i only had 3 hours of sleep. but i'm really worried for my shift tonight cuz i haven't slept yet since yesterday afternoon and im still wide awake! im sure to get a head ache tonight. arggh...

tomorrow's the TOEI Animation's 20th anniversary and there will be an anime festival to celebrate it at eastwood. this is the same day as the Hataw Hanep Hero event on WTC in Pasay. o'll just go to TOEI cuz it's nearer. hope to see cosplayers that will be my inspiration when join next yr. :)

wowowee

i was watching wowowee last tuesday which i don't normally do cause i'm irritated with willie's jokes and with the constant drama that some contestants put on. just decided to watch it cause there's nothing good on TV and eat bulaga was just dong bulagaan.

i think it's a kid's episode that day because most of the contestants for the show's segments are kids and there was this 1 contestant, i small girl, with a physical deformity. i think she has scoliosis or something cause it seems like she has no neck. the little girl's story was really heart warming. she said that she has no more dad because he left them. her lola was not able to accompany them inside because the show has a limit on the number of people that can stay inside so it's just the little girl and her little cousin that's inside. i don't know, it was just really sad that at that young age she's already experienced so much. :( anyway, they didn't win the jackpot money but they did win a livelihood showcase so i think that's good enough to help her family.

i used to really hate that show because i feel that people who join their segments are so overly dramatic. willie just asks them "kumusta kayo?" then they just start to cry and start narrating their lifestory and how hard it is, etc. i mean, come on, you don't have to be over dramatic about it. i know how hard life is right now and i am aware of how hard to earn money and to keep a stable job is. i mean, for us college graduates it's hard to find a job, what more for the underpreviledged? so i totally understand their situation but i still don't see why they always cry about it.

well i think the show is able to help the needy so i think it's great. also the theme song is quite catchy... hehehe... it reminds me of my OJT days in abs-cbn interactive.

spare time

i was struck with an idea for a small business. since i am an anime fanatic that loves to draw, why don't i use that and create a costume boutique. i can copy the different costumes of anime series and sell it for a cheaper price than what the malls offer. hmm... this is still in it's planning stage so i'm not quite sure what will happen.

i'm here at the office. bored to death. i drew some designs for stuff toys that my office sells as a sideline. i hope my designs make it to production. hehehe... that'll be a first.

so excited with the item i bought in ebay. i can't wait for the parcel to arrive at home. the seller said it'll take 7-10 days. i'm just anticipating it's arrival. hehe... i haven't been this excited since the news of ate's preganancy! wahehehehe...

yebah

yebah... i just found out that i am able to access blogdrive from the office! hahaha... this means that i can write blogs everyday. wasn't been able to update this often cause i often find myself exhausted by the time i get home so not much time to write. well, this discovery will change all that! hahaha...

well, speaking of work, here i am at it again. i'm pretty much bored from what i'm doing. monitoring agents was not as fun as i used to think it'll be. plus, some events just changed some of my priorities. oh man... what am i to do? :( should i resign or should i stay? hmm... if ever i do resign, what will i do? well i have it pretty much planned out, or so i feel that i have it planned out. hehehe...

i actually have 2 options in my on what i will do when i resign from he call center lifestyle: a) i will help out in our family business, and b) me and my friend will try to venture into our own business. hmm... sounds pretty tough eh? but i just thought, if dad was able to put up a business of his own, why not us? ok, there are factors to consider like budget, target market, competitors, etc. but we have two heads working and thinking of ideas here. i'm pretty sure we will be able to think up of something... right?

call center is fun, but the shifting schedule is just too much for me. i can't plan out my schedules, i can't go on vacations, i can't even choose my shift. i thought leaving sykes will lead me to greener pastuers, but as of what's happening now, i may just have turned away from the company that could've helped me with my dreams. oh well, we will never know. and i am not one to wander on "what ifs" cause regrets are just not my thing.

and the latest additions are...

october 8 saw the birth of the latest addition to our family. my nephew, baby Zanjo came to the world weighing at 6.7lbs. he's the first born in the next generation of our clan so everyone is really excited. although there were no physical defects, some fluids went inside his lungs that's why he had to be placed in the ICU. lucky for us, tests shows negative for any other ailments or life threatening infections. he just needs to gain some strength so he had to stay there for a week. and after a week of waiting, we will be able to take him home tomorrow. i'm so excited about my nephew, i just can't wait for him to grow a little older so i can start buying him toys, bikes, etc.

as i said in my last post, i was eyeing 2 toys, the dekaranegr SP Lisence and the Boukenger Accellular. well, after i got my pay last tuesday, i was able to finally buy it and add it to my collection. i'm really psyched about the SP Lisence cause i've been wanting to have an SP uniform made so i can join a cosplay. the accellular was great to cause now i can have the SGS jacket made since i'm complete with the accessories already. next target, a magiphone and a brachio morpher.

being a collector

i was cleaning our room a few days back and decided to display the toys that we've been buying just for fun. my brother collects jackie chan and samurai X toys, while i collect anime and tokusatsu collectibles. didsn't know we have quite a few already.

joined a message board last wednesday about sentai/ power rangers and it's really fun being in a place with people of the same interest. there's this thread there where they show pictures of their collection and i was awestruck with the dedication that they put in collecting. without any exagerations (which i often do alot by the way...hehehe...) they can create their own museum with their collections. they have every robot that came out, the different transformation device, action figures, vehicles, etc. i was so jealous while i was scrolling through the pictures. hehehe...

after browsing their collection, it made me realize how it means to be a collector. someone dedicated to what they like. how i wish i didn't trade the power ranger megazord for the dr.octopus action figure way back grade 5. and if i only knew how crazy i will be about sentai's, i wish i didn't misplace the kakuranger and dairanger mecha we had before. cry if only i have more extra moolah, then i can add more stuff to my own collection. i was able to buy a dekaranger SP Lisence and i'm eyeing a boukenger accellular. i think i'm going to save up so i can buy the Toy's R Us Magiphone cause i really love magirangers. hehehe...

btw: visit the message board at http://sentaimanila.proboards33.com. join us as well and be part of the growing sentai manila family. :D

u r d 1

watched "You Are The One" for our monthsarry and the movie just made me feel kilig all over! hahaha... sam milby is such a cutie and toni gonzaga is just a darling. i didn't actually fell in love with the movie, but it was really nice. i cried in a certain part when toni confronted her sister (played by jodie sta.maria). it made me kind of reflect about the relationship i have with my siblings.

growing up in a family with 8 children was not easy. you have to deal with so many different attitudes, and you have to overcome the different prssures that will come your way as you grow up. well, i must admit that we're not like the brady bunch wherein everyone loves the company of the other, but at least i was able to make it without getting to someone's bad side. i think i'm one of the siblings who can just get along with the others. my other siblings particularly doesn't like my second brother (which i will refer to as "ditsie"). well, we all think he's just full of hot air cause of his "all talk, no action" attitude, and we really don't like how he feels that he's the bet among us. well... i just stay neutral. although my other siblings show how much they don't like ditsie, i'm just one of those with an indifferent attitude about it. i mean, if he feels he's the best, then i just have to show him how better i can be. it's like the saying, "a picture is worth a thousand words."
